New Joy’s mission is REVIVAL!

We believe that revival is a foreshadowing of God’s full presence here on the earth.  His desire is shalom – to bring the world back to its original right standing with Him.

To that end, we desire to be a church that ushers in God’s glory by being His vessel – that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.    

Connected to Christ and to Each Other

To be a church of revival, we must function as the body of Christ, with Christ as our head.

We connect to and align ourselves to Him through worship, prayer and the Word.  As we do this, His anointing flows down, filling us with His supernatural presence, power, knowledge, the gifts of His Spirit and unity among the church.

We connect with each other, honoring others, making sure to keep right standing with each other.  As we connect to Christ and with each other, we are filled with His presence and the kingdom message is advanced.

Revival Lifestyle

To be a church of revival, we will hold to these values:

• The Word. We desire to be shaped by the Word of God through preaching and teaching that is uncompromised by culture – at the pulpit and in classes taught on how God’s people can read the Word for revelation.
• Discipleship. We seek to be a church marked by discipleship to Jesus and to raise up leaders who will raise up other leaders.
• Community. We desire to be a church of community, inter-dependent on fellow members of Jesus’ body.
• Personal evangelism. We seek to fulfill the Great Commission as a people who go out to spread the good news of Jesus and who cry out for justice for the oppressed.
• God’s voice. We value the prophetic giftings, honor the prophets, and teach the church to learn to hear His voice.
• Healing. We pray for both physical and spiritual healing with the conviction that God uses His people to minister healing in His name.  We value the process of inner healing as a means of setting His people free.
• Spiritual authority. We are a church that honors one another and submits to spiritual authority.  Our leadership is a team that desires to lead in love and unity.  God has given the church the five-fold ministers so that the mind of Christ flows down through them.  He has given apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers to together lead the church.

To be a church of revival, we seek to be a people who invade our culture and world for the expansion of His kingdom.  As His kingdom is within us, we don’t allow our culture to overtake us.  Rather, we equip the saints to bring the light of Christ into our families, communities, cities, this nation, and to the world.  In doing so, we carry on the works of Jesus.
