Our Elementary Ministry is divided up into two groups: the Juniors and Seniors. Our Juniors are Kindergarten – Grade 3, and our Seniors are Grade 4 to Grade 7. Both Juniors and Seniors are learning to go deeper in the Word and in their experience of knowing God. Each week our teachers lead a lesson based on the Bible, using games and arts & crafts to help plant the truth into the minds and hearts of the children.
Our goals for the elementary kids are the same as our goals for the preschoolers: that they learn biblical truth in a Holy-Spirit filled way. Besides teaching and playing time, we set aside time in our classes for the Holy Spirit to speak to the kids as they wait on Him as well as time to pray for each other – whether it be for a situation at home/school or for healing. It has been a privilege to hear the children exercising their faith and love for fellow classmates through their prayers and we believe God is using them to do great things for His kingdom!
Elementary children begin their Sunday with their parents in the sanctuary and are dismissed for Sunday School after the worship time.
